Queensland Fauna Management
Queensland Fauna Management (QFM) is the SSAA Queensland division focused on practical conservation and pest animal management. Established in Queensland in 2001, QFM brings together trained volunteers who contribute their time, skills and experience to support conservation outcomes across multiple regions of the state.

Practical Conservation Across Queensland
Queensland Fauna Management operates as part of SSAA Queensland and has developed a diverse volunteer membership across south-east Queensland, central Queensland, the Central Highlands and Far North Queensland.
QFM volunteers participate in feral animal control and other conservation activities designed to help protect native wildlife and the bush environment. Ongoing training and skills development support safe, responsible participation in field activities.
Protect, Plan, Act and Educate
QFM’s mission is centred on protecting and restoring Australia’s natural environment through practical management, cooperation and field-based action.
Protect & Restore
Identify, maintain, protect and restore biotic communities within Australia’s natural heritage.
Understand & Plan
Identify areas of degradation and work with private landholders and government departments to determine causes and establish management goals.
Act & Monitor
